Aalto Inspired Wine Cart

My most technically challenging piece to date, this piece was inspired by a modern classic, Alvar Aalto’s Tea Trolley, from the 1930s. Made from figured ash veneer and solid white ash this wine cart is truly unique. The bent laminated legs are each made from 24 layers of ash veneer. Featuring two stationary trays, each with solid wood sides that are box jointed, the lower tray has a veneered bottom (continued).
